Reproduction leads to continuity. Without reproduction the shepherd’s flock populous would decline to extinction. In the bible, multiplication is a sign of blessing while the opposite is a curse. Though all newborn may not live, there are those that do. Likewise, soul-wining might yield many souls, but not all may survive. Some may be still-births or die before maturity and others may become entrapped in the snare of the enemy and succumb there. The skilled shepherd, however will work diligently with the divine Shepherd to minimize the loss of flock. The less attrition, the more the flock will increase; the more glory the ‘Owner’ will receive. He does not wish that any should perish.
