Watchfulness

Post by Lynn Grandsire »

Day 16 brought a recognition that I do watch people for unspoken signs of changes in life. It wasn't necessarily something I would have called attention to in my job description, or would have been able to name as something I do or needed to do. This intuitive place of ministry of watchfulness must inform my core ministry to recognize who needs rest, who needs new challenges and opportunities for growth and leadership, who needs affirmation of a job well done, or who needs a course correction. My watchfulness is a vital part of ministry to the whole flock as well as to the people in my areas of responsibility. Watchfulness must be named and forefront to care and nurture and protect my flock.
