Defenseless

Sheep's only natural defense is to huddle together.

Wow. This got me thinking, why would God make an animal with no natural defenses. Are there any other animals like that? A quick google search revealed at least one: pandas. According to one article, they are dependent on human care, otherwise, they would be extinct.

There is one other creature, of course. As the Word often either alludes to or directly points out, we humans.

Amid our display of independence and self-reliance, we are totally defenseless against the onslaught of spiritual beings and that our only "reliable source of security comes from the shepherd's presence"
