I’ve not noticed where the author distinguishes the sheep by any significant differences on either breed, type or class. It seems as though sheep are sheep no matter their size, features, or color. If one were to model the Church after this book on shepherding why don’t we have more integrated churches within our communities today? Having recently moved to Jacksonville, Florida this past summer I’ve not been able to find one church that represents all the people (black, white, Hispanic etc). What’s missing in this picture? I desire to serve and worship in an environment that is inclusive of all races, and unfortunately Sunday continues to be the most segregated day of the week.
