As my wife and I prepare to return to work in Brazzaville, Congo, one of our desires is to go deeper in our relationships with our Congolese co-workers. As I read about thoughtful hospitality as being one aspect of leadership, I was encouraged to think about how we can provide green pastures for our friends who are pastors and pastors wives living in a very dry economic situation. In any given month, they have days when food is very scarce or non-existant in their homes, or someone is sick and there is no money for a doctor consultation or for medicine.
As we share green pastures with them through hospitality in our home, we pray that this would help bring restoration to them and encourage them to go to their Shepherd who "makes them lie down in green pastures, who leads them by still waters, who restores their souls." _________________ Ron Julian |
