A primary danger of the wilderness is when you don't really know that you are entering into it. You may be beside streams of water, and all of a sudden be surrounded by parched land. This happens when there is no intimacy with the living God, who sustains us. David said; "like a deer pants for water in a dry and weary land, so I thirst for you.." I would rather chase intimacy with God, then to suddently find myself in the wilderness seeking water.
