I need to drink. I need this still stream water first. This was the thought that came to me as I reflected on this post. I love what this reminded me of, “But humans and flock animals are not designed to survive drought.” I am not able to minister, not able to shepherd, not able to love, and not able to live without drinking from the still waters first.

It’s been a dry season. Not because the water is not abundant. He is. He has been. But I am not stopping to drink. My eyes wander to the next task. Next responsibility. Next sermon to preach. I need to sit and reflect and drink first before I lead others to drink.
