Dry ground and new life

Like the author, years of living in the evangelical bubble, including Christian family and Christian schools have often left me seeing and experiencing dry spiritual ground where others find ample grazing. I envy those who are still experiencing the joy and freshness of new life in Christ. It leaves me feeling a bit like a spiritual curmudgeon. I believe the lesson for me here is that sometimes the well needs to be dug deeper.
