emotionally vacuous teaching

Feeding without nutrition.
Sermons easily become messages that are ‘superficial and emotionally vacuous sermons’. This is what bothers me mostly as a preacher and also seem to be the true battle of feeding/sermon preaching as I preach to my congregation who are eager to know the pragmatic relationship between their lives and the Bible.
Being genuinely excited and emotionally invested in the message that I want to preach is a struggle that seem to rise from preaching weekly as a shepherd. Because of the frequency of the preaching, the inspiration and insight into the practical felt need, spiritual, relational and spiritual of the congregation and having sufficient time to pray, feel, simmer and dwell with the life of the congregation seem to be a challenge.
I wonder what the solution to depth can be when it comes to the frequency of preaching. Should I strive to choose to preach less so I can feel and pray deeper into the lives and hearts of the congregation?
Speaking less (shorter) and less so that nutrition is richer.
