I love the "re" words. They are so hopeful:

restore
renew
release
revive
refresh
rejuvenate

They speak of a return to the preferred state we either once had, or should have. All of the hope stored in these words for the re"new"al is in the work and person of Christ. Not only is He the one who performs the action, He is the life source contained in each of the terms. In Him is refreshment, restoration, revival, and blessings "ten thousand beside".

I need the "re" words to be an active part of my life. I am prone to wander, inclined to leave the God I love, my source. I am a constant wanderer, it's my norm. I need God's constant "re" gracing to retract me from my rewandering. I need to be reminded to rest. Proverbs 14:30 "A heart at peace gives life to the body". Thank You that You give us life to the full. Change my proneness to a new inclination to finding that rest and life in You.
